Nikon D90 Work

Hello

Derick Jover Calara & Chelsea Rose Druken
Still in the process of uploading.. so please bare with me :)

Challenges

Owning a DSLR camera is exciting yet at the same time very challenging. The Nikon D90 is an amazing camera, but I’m still trying to figure things out. I was playing around with it over the weekend; however, I got frustrated with it because I was struggling with choosing proper settings. Usually when I get frustrated, I would just give up on the task at hand. (which isn’t a good thing) With photography however, I am motivated to do well. I envy people that take such amazing pictures. But I’m sure with a lot practice and patience, I will learn the techniques to capture beautiful pictures. Also, I’m looking forward to taking my D90 class at Henry's School of Imaging in March. it’s a hand-on class, so I’m hoping that I will learn a lot of tricks in taking nice pictures; because right now I'm overwhelmed with the extra features(options) and controls that my camera has.

I will definitely post some pictures that I took using my D90, but I assure you, they are far from fantastic. As I’ve said earlier, I’m still in the process of learning the settings of my camera so if you have any suggestions, please feel free to leave a comment.

Good Day

These are just some of the pictures that I took last year using my Nikon D60 SLR. I just wanted to start posting pictures just to give you an idea of my previous/current work.

Introduction

Hello.

Well, I’ve been meaning to start a blog for a while now, but I never got around to doing it- maybe because I wasn’t sure what to write about. However, now that I’ve gotten into photography, I have something to babble about. I had my first DSLR last year (which was a Nikon D60)—I sure miss that monster of a camera. So now, I would like to introduce all of you to my new baby, Nico (Nikon D90). (Yes I love to name my stuff haha- don’t hate) I bought this baby last Friday and I cannot wait to shoot with it. I’m really hoping that the weather will get a bit better as days pass; at least I’d have some pictures to post here on my blog. As you can see, I’m just starting out—so I really am not a photographer (yet), but once I do post pictures, I would appreciate it if you would comment. Tell me what I can do to improve :)

In the near future, I would love for photography to be my profession, something I will get paid for and enjoy at the same time. Now I find myself looking at pictures into details; trying to figure out how or what they used to shoot the picture (shutter, fstop, angle, kind of lens etc...) I love taking pictures of people (mainly) kids— I love the candid pictures, because it captures the real excitement and laughter they are feeling at that moment. I really think those are the best pictures to take. It’s not fake—it’s something real.

I hope you enjoy my blog as much as I enjoy taking pictures.
Keep posted

Good day
